Diary of a new recruit

Well what a week it's been!  In the days leading up to starting at Harvard I was trying to prepare myself for the likely tasks and events which I may be faced with in my first week. Sorting out security passes, getting to grips with the photocopier and trying to remember my colleague's names, to name but a few. However one thing I had not prepared myself for was sipping a glass of champagne whilst chatting with the Group Chief Executive of Chime within the first three hours of arrival!

After a quick tour round the office we were all off to a company presentation, about the launch of the Good Relations Group. By 12 o'clock I was stood next to Christopher Satterthwaite who congratulated me on my new job and made a very interesting point. He observed that I would be able to say that I started my job at the dawn of a new era for Chime.  A mantle which I am already proud of.

I have been greeted very warmly by the Harvard team who all are keen to ensure that I am happy and getting to grips with my new role. It is a very exciting time at Harvard and I am looking forward to what lies ahead for me and the company at large.

Finally with the news that our colleague, Tricia May, had her 15 year anniversary at Harvard on Wednesday it goes to show that this is a company which values its employees and more importantly is valued by those who work here. You never know I may be sat down on July 2nd 2027 writing another post about my last 15 years at Harvard.
