Tell us about your role. I'm an Account Executive - pretty much the "boots on the ground" of the PR agency… We’re there at the coalface: pitching, copywriting, reporting. I also do Analyst Relations, which is lovely. What was your first job? Lifeguard. What gets you up in the morning now? BBC Radio 6 Music. Shaun Keaveny is hilarious. What advice would you give to someone starting out in PR today? Get stuck in, try everything and stay cheerful. What’s the best book you’ve ever read? Heart of Darkness (1899) - Joseph Conrad. What’s the worst film you’ve ever watched? Now You See Me (2013) - Absolute atrocious tosh from start to finish and an embarrassment for all involved. What are you reading at the moment? Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance (1974) - Robert M. Pirsig. What would be top of your Desert Island Discs list? My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (2010) - Kanye West. Five years on and it’s still number one. Who would you invite to your dream dinner party, dead or alive? William Shakespeare. PR is all about boozy lunches, isn’t it? What’s your tipple? Good whisky. What gadget couldn’t you live without? Google Maps. Instagram, WhatsApp or Snapchat? WhatsApp. Tell us something most people don’t know about you. I used to practice Judo. Where would like to go before you die? Mt Fuji. Anywhere in Japan actually. Thanks Sam! Click here to check out the previous occupants of the Harvard Hotseat.
